MABAR is beyond e-sport platform, targeting high school students. It is not only organizes competitive tournaments but also fosters an e-sports community, facilitating the growth and development of student-athletes' skills

Challenges

77% of Indonesian show interest in gaming, particularly among the students. However, there is a negative perception of gamers from both parents and schools.

What We Offer

  • Create a competitive game platform.
  • Create a sense-of-pride through participation in inter-school tournament, where students have opportunity to represent their school.
  • Build a positive community through discord and provide mentorship to develop their soft-skills.

My Key Responsibilities

  • Design the interface for MABAR mobile app, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Provide creative and UX-related direction and inspiration to the team of designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing and Website Developer (front-end or back-end) teams when necessary.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather insights and document brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all design elements.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive design system to streamline the design process and maintain brand consistency.

Takeaway

1. Success to build MABAR's awareness among high school students:
  • Today, more than 1,500 members join MABAR community on discord. It surpass the first goal which is 100 members
  • 1.43K subscribers on YouTube

2. MABAR creates a sense of pride through game participation. More than 700 schools in 10 Province in Indonesia participate in MABAR High School Tournament.

3. University of Indonesia and MABAR conducted the research of E-sport as a new knowledge for parents and teachers. The result shows competitive gaming develops student’s personalities.
